First Step needs your continued support to offer help and guidance to our children and adolescents who feel lost and afraid. Counseling and mentoring are key components to a child who is struggling to fit in at school, having a hard time dealing without a mother or father in the home, or an adolescent who can’t control his or her emotions.

Mental Health is a family illness. Mental Health recovery for all will not happen overnight. The more effort and open-mindedness each person involved brings to the table the quicker the pace of growth and healing.

First Step receives 100% of our funding from the State of Georgia through Medicaid and PeachCare. Your support in First Step will assist us in offering our services to those who need our help but do not have the required insurance. It will also allow us to recruit new mentors and counselors so that we can offer ongoing support for every case.
