What type of consumers qualify for First Step Counseling Services?
Families and/or individuals diagnosed with a known or suspected mental health problem such as, anger management, depression, eating disorder, self mutilation, low self esteem, peer conflicts, grief or substance abuse issues to name a few.
Is there an age requirement?
Applicants must be between the ages of 5 and 18 years of age
What time do you provide these services?
First Step counseling services are offered in a flexible setting of the consumer’s choice.
What is the cost to use this service?
The cost of our counseling services are covered (no fee) for approved Medicaid/PeachCare (Wellcare and PeachState only) applicants.
Do you provide these services to consumers without Medicaid/PeachCare?
No, not at this time.
How long can I receive these services?
Length of treatment varies based on each individual’s initial assessment.
